John: Welcome to the show, everybody. John Common here. This is a special episode. It's probably the only time, when I'm going to talk about myself as the sole topic of the episode.
Look, we are going to be spending a lot of quality time together, I hope, you and me. And the Growth Driver team thought you deserve to know kind of who I am as a professional, as a person, and where I come from.

So what do I do when I'm not hosting Growth Driver? I'm a career long B2B growth executive and growth geek. That's, that's what I've done for 25 years. I've worked with hundreds and hundreds of B2B go to market teams across different industries, different use cases, different budget levels, different tech stacks, different go to market motions, helping them develop smart go to market strategy and then execute that, that strategy through integrated growth programs.
That's all I've done my whole career. I'm currently, and have been for the last almost 15 years, the CEO and founder of Intelligent Demand. If you don't know who we are, we're an expert B2B growth partner. And we work with all kinds of clients, to help them grow.
Before Intelligent Demand, I had your job.
I was head of marketing and or sales and or partnerships in business development, at a series of technology and services companies. That was the first ten or so years of my career. I had hair back then. And what that means is I really personally understand that pressure that you're under to drive measurable revenue growth.
What topics do I cover on Growth Driver? My focus is theory meets practice, right? I'm just fascinated by the intersection of a theory and practice, you know, and there's lots of innovation and hype out there in our industry, and it's exciting and interesting and complex. But on the other side, pretty much every B2B growth executive I know is held to the standard every day, every week, every month, every quarter, every year to drive measurable growth impact.
And so, what I cover on Growth Driver is the intersection of theory and innovation and how it intersects with highly executable real world practice. So I talked to expert practitioners. These are folks who are in the hot seat, driving growth, doing the hard work every single day in their role. Talk to folks like that.
I talked to authors, industry analysts, thought leaders. I talk to senior growth executives at the C suite level from customers, prospects, partners. And it all ladders up to unlocking smarter, better, more creative, more effective ways to develop great go to market strategy and then execute that, that go to market strategy through aligned, integrated, integrated, expert motions.
We dig in all the time to the different flavors of go to market motions that are out there. So demand gen, account based, product led growth, customer led growth, community led growth on and on and on. We also talk about technology and data and analytics, not in a theoretical way, but in a way that's like, how do we really get measurable impact that we can execute day in and day out from that investment in technology.
And then the last thing, really one of my favorite topics is how do we become better leaders, as growth executives? So, big topics, but that's what it's for.
